I have been working as a freelance performance artist since 1996, developing performance projects in a wide variety of formats, either on my own or with my long-time colleague Peter Schulz. Our focus is usually on stage performances. We typically develop other formats, such as walking acts, site-specific works, and installations, for events or festivals. In my work, I place autobiographical themes such as aging, illness, and the fear of failure within a broader social context. Humor and surreal imagery characterize my style.
